Whatever the reason, Dr. White offers implant removal or implant exchange for smaller implants. If this leaves loose skin, a breast lift can be done at the same time to give you the perkier, more youthful breasts you are looking for. For those that don't want implants at all we offer fat transfer to the breasts for the right patients. Dr. White prides herself on exceptional facelift results in the state-of-the-art Piper Outpatient Surgical Facility.

Dr. White carefully and skillfully creates a more rested and youthful contour to the face and neck, with results that range from subtle to dramatic, depending upon your personal preferences. Dr. White will evaluate your situation and help you determine whether or not a tummy tuck is your best option. Liposuction may be recommended as a complimentary procedure to enhance the results of a tummy tuck.

The goal is to have a smooth, flat tummy that blends with the rest of the body. If you feel that your breasts are too large or heavy, then you might consider breast reduction surgery.

She specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and body, with a special interest in breast surgeries and in surgeries after massive weight loss. Dr White has wanted to be a Plastic Surgeon since grade school, feeling that her artistic abilities as well as her scientific and academic ones would be well-utilized in this field. She was accepted to Harvard, Yale, and Stanford after graduating as valedictorian in high school, ultimately choosing Harvard as the place to obtain her undergraduate degree in Biology.

It was this love of creating art, combined with an aptitude in science, which led her to want to become a Plastic Surgeon at a very early age. Over the years she has done drawings and paintings, sometimes for friends, other times for publications (medical illustrations), and often just for herself. Some patients have expressed an interest in seeing some of her artwork, so for those of you that wish to see it, we have placed a few here.

Or maybe your breasts are different sizes, creating a noticeable asymmetry. You can't change your genetics, but you can change your appearance through breast enlargement surgery, also known as breast augmentation. Scottsdale board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Deborah White will listen to your concerns and your hopes.

You may have gained weight, your breasts may be increasing in size with menopause, or the physical effects of larger breasts may be creeping up on you. Regardless, just like women with natural breasts that are too large, you may be having trouble with neck and back pain, have difficulty exercising, have shoulder grooves, or difficulty buying flattering clothes. Your breast may now be making you look heavier. Whatever the reason, Dr. White offers implant removal or implant exchange for smaller implants.

Millions of women have had breast augmentation without significant issues, but it makes sense that a certain number of women might not do well with foreign objects in their bodies, especially over decades of life.

read more › Dr. White strives for natural-looking results for her Scottsdale breast lift patients while placing patient safety and comfort as top priorities. Unfortunately, our breasts do not maintain their youthfulness forever. Also, some women developmentally have breast shapes that are less than ideal on one or both sides. As we age, women's breasts begin to sag as a result of gravity. Sagging breasts are also very common after pregnancy or breast feeding. Sometimes a breast lift alone will create the look you desire, but other times a breast enlargement is performed along with the lift to get the desired fullness.

Breasts that are disproportionately large can cause pain in your back, shoulders, or neck, breathing difficulties, poor posture, and chafing under your breast. Many women with very large breasts feel self-conscious and unattractive, and large breast may interfere with normal daily activities or exercise. If the breasts are large, but well-shaped, liposuction alone can reduce the size with only a couple of tiny incisions.

read more › As the science of fat transfer has brought new and exciting options in body contouring, patients now have another option when adding fullness to their breasts: fat transfer breast augmentation. Whether there is asymmetry and you just need more fullness on one side, or you are looking to upsize both breasts, fat transfer can be a great procedure. There is the added bonus of fat removal from the harvest sites, but of course, you must have fat to be harvested, so this may not be an option for very slender women.

Depending on the severity of the inversion (some come out when stimulated, others won't come out at all), they are usually corrected with a small incision at the bottom of the nipple. Protectors are worn for approximately a week after surgery. The sutures usually dissolve around 2 weeks out. Correction of inverted nipples can permanently damage the ability to breast feed out of that nipple, and can also decrease their sensitivity, which needs to be considered when choosing this procedure.

Dr. White enjoys the challenge of these cases, knowing that results can almost always be at least improved upon. Dr. White will meet with you, listen to your goals for your breasts, and let you know honestly what she thinks can be repaired. If further surgery would not be in your best interest she will let you know. Tired of implants? Do your implants no longer fit with your self image?

read more › Dr. White has a special love of this type of surgery. Many surgeons do not especially enjoy it, as the surgeries can be long. Removing the extra skin is done by many surgeons. Dr. White takes great pride in trying to remove the excess in an artistic fashion; placing scars in the body's natural creases and leaving as many large areas untouched by scars as possible. She takes particular pride in her belly buttons, which are the focal point of an attractive abdomen. Restoring bodies that have excess skin and stretched out abdominal muscles that can't be fixed with diet and exercise is extremely gratifying for Dr. White.

read more › Excess skin on the upper arms can be a huge source of frustration for patients. Often they have to adjust their shirt sizes upwards just to accommodate the skin and tissues. Because of the location of the necessary incisions, this can be a real trade-off of shape for scars. Many patients scar well enough that the incisions eventually (after many months to a year or two) become difficult to see. The traditional arm lifts removed an ellipse of skin from the elbow to the armpit, leaving a scar in the middle of the arm.

read more › This is one of the most common procedures performed after massive weight loss, as it provides dramatic improvement of the trunk, buttocks, groin area, and outer thighs. The scar is identical to the tummy tuck in the front, but goes all the way around the lower trunk. We try to place the scar so that you may wear brief attire if at all possible. The procedure requires general anesthesia and 1 to 2 nights of skilled nursing care at the Virginia Piper Outpatient Surgical Center. Early ambulation is critical to uneventful healing, and the nurses and aides will assist you with this.

read more › Loose sagging skin is a common problem for massive-weight-loss patients, but fortunately, a body lift in Scottsdale can address this issue. Many people are surprised to find that after losing a lot of weight, their bodies don't look the way they expected. With the help of a body lift, patients can achieve their body-image goals. Scottsdale plastic surgeon Dr. White will take the time to carefully evaluate your situation and help you decide the best surgery or combination of surgeries to create the shape you've worked so hard to achieve.

read more › For patients with saggy or flat buttocks from aging, genetics, or weight loss, this area can be improved with fat transfer ("Brazilian Butt Lift") or buttock lift or a combination of the two. Dr. White does not offer buttock implants as she feels the complication rate is relatively high, and the complications are very difficult to fix. The buttock lift places the incision and scar just above the buttocks and can be done by itself or as a part of a body lift or belt lipectomy (it is included in these surgeries).

read more › Enlarged labia can be problematic with exercise and sexual activity. Aging changes to the region can also lead to dissatisfaction. The labia majora (outer lips) and/or labia minora (inner lips) can be affected. Dr. White reduces the outer lips with an incision along the transition between hair-bearing and non-hair-bearing skin, which leaves a scar that when completely healed, is very difficult to see. For the inner lips, either a wedge technique (which preserves the pigmented and ruffled free edge while reducing the bulk of the labia) or trimming technique (for when the colored area is considered undesirable and the labia is trimmed along its length) can be used.
