read more › Excess skin and loose abdominal muscles are common occurrences after weight loss or multiple pregnancies. Sometimes diet and exercise can't bring your tummy to your ideal shape, which is why many people look into getting an abdominoplasty. An abdominoplasty, commonly known as a "tummy tuck", is a procedure that tightens the loose skin and relaxed muscles in the abdominal region. In this procedure, the abdominal muscles are sutured, excess fat is removed and the skin is tightened to reveal a flat tummy.

Breast augmentation is a very common aesthetic surgery performed among women and can address a number of patient concerns such as breast size, proportionality and shape. Breast augmentation can increase or restore your breast size, allowing you to achieve a more proportional and youthful figure. There are different options for breast augmentation surgery depending on your medical history, body frame and mass and existing breast tissue.

Oftentimes, this skin droops over the natural folds of the eyelid, causing puffiness, wrinkles and impaired vision. A blepharoplasty can be performed to remove excess skin or fatty deposits on the eyelids and improve dark circles and deep grooves under the eyes. A blepharoplasty will also improve your facial structure by giving your eyes a more alert and youthful appearance. There are many approaches used for a blepharoplasty depending on your facial muscle structure, bone structure and symmetry of your eyebrows.

While exercise can help build muscle in your arm, it can decrease the amount of fat in the arm causing excess skin. An arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a procedure that removes excess skin from the armpit to the elbow, resulting in a more defined, contoured upper arm shape. During an arm lift, an incision is made along the upper arm and the underlying tissue is tightened and reshaped. The length and placement of the incision depends on the amount and location of excess skin being removed.

This is often a trying and emotional time for patients, and the residual effects of cancer commonly cause distress and low self-confidence. Breast reconstruction is a common procedure done after a mastectomy or lumpectomy that not only restores the form and shape of the breast, but a sense of wholeness and femininity for the patient. Reconstruction usually involves multiple surgeries to restore the contour of the breast area.

These wrinkles can lead to a sad or tired expression, which may not be one's ideal resting face. A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, helps restore a relaxed and youthful appearance to the forehead and brow. A brow lift is commonly used to smooth out creases and wrinkles across the forehead and between the eyebrows, and can also improve the appearance of hooded or sagging eyelids.

A recessed or deformed chin can cause the entire facial structure to lack proportion, even creating the appearance of a "double" chin due to an ill-defined jawline. Chin implants are used to improve chin and jaw structure, resulting in a defined jawline and enhanced facial proportion. During chin implant surgery, a small incision is made underneath the chin or inside the mouth where the implant is inserted. Your surgeon will provide you with the best chin implant methods and options for facial surgeries during your consult.

Loose tissue causes the skin to sag, hiding the natural gluteal contour and often causing discomfort during physical activity or long periods of sitting. A gluteal lift is commonly performed to restore the natural contour of the gluteal region and remove excess skin and fat. The result is a smoother, more toned buttock. Incision points vary depending on skin quality, amount of excess skin to remove and overall body shape.

Oftentimes, these scenarios affect the vaginal region, causing the labia minora to hang below the hair bearing region of the labia majora. This can cause a high level of discomfort during physical activity or intercourse. A labiaplasty is an increasingly popular procedure that focuses on reducing the size of the labia minora. Excess tissue is removed beyond the desired contour of the vaginal region, resulting in increased symmetry, comfort and self-confidence.

Stubborn fat deposits are commonly found throughout the body and can be the only thing keeping you from your ideal body image. Liposuction is a common procedure among men and women that helps reduce the amount of fat in certain areas of the body. Liposuction can be performed on many parts of the body including the buttocks, hips, legs, arms, abdomen and back. Liposuction uses suction to target and remove excess fat throughout the body.

Aging, pregnancy, nursing and weight loss may cause the breasts to sag and the areolas to stretch. This can cause discomfort, poor posture and overall low self esteem. A mastopexy, commonly known as a breast lift, can solve many of the issues seen with sagging breasts. A mastopexy raises the breast, removes excess skin and tightens the overall area, resulting in an elevated breast and more supple breast shape.

Sagging skin under the neck can also cause discomfort and low self esteem. A platysmaplasty, or neck lift, tightens and removes excess skin and fatty deposits along the jawline and lower neck, resulting in a clearly defined jawline and improved youthful appearance. Different methods are applied depending on skin elasticity, bone structure, extent of the neck lift and desired outcome.

Those with genetic traits, birth defects or injuries involving the ear commonly seek out solutions to improve facial proportion. An otoplasty is a procedure that corrects the size, placement and proportion of the ears. Cartilage and soft tissue is removed and contoured to the desired shape and position of the ear. Incisions depend on ear size and intention of the procedure, but your surgeon will provide you with the best options for your otoplasty during the initial consult.

However, breasts that are too large can limit physical activity, make fitting into clothes difficult and cause severe discomfort in the neck, back and shoulders. A reduction mammoplasty, or breast reduction, decreases breast size to provide a more proportionate figure and reduces pain caused from oversized breasts. During a breast reduction, excess tissue, fat and skin are removed to bring the breast to the desired size.

read more › The breast size and shape changes over time, regardless of the presence of implants. Although breast augmentation has long term effects, the results are not permanent. Breast augmentation revision is sometimes necessary after a general timeframe to remove or replace the current implants. There are numerous techniques for revision surgery depending on the reason for the revision. Change in breast size, implant rippling, implant malposition and poor areola placement are common reasons revisions take place.

It is very common to seek surgery to repair the nose after an injury, to correct breathing problems, or to improve the overall appearance of the nose. A rhinoplasty is done to alter the shape, size and position of the nose. Bone and cartilage can be removed, added and shaped to achieve a more desirable proportion. If you wish to correct a deviated septum or improve nasal breathing, a septorhinoplasty should be performed.

Wrinkles and sagging skin of the forehead, brows, eyes and neck can result in a sad and tired appearance. A rhytidectomy, commonly known as a facelift, is a broad approach to fixing the signs of aging, sun damage or thinning skin. A full rhytidectomy is performed when individual procedures like a brow lift or neck lift will not result in the patient's desired appearance. During a face lift, excess skin is removed underlying tissue and muscles are tightened.

Septal deviation due to injury or hereditary conditions can prevent breathing through the nostrils and result in discomfort and a disproportionate nose. Many injuries involve the septum, which is the cartilage and bone that separates one's nostrils. The primary purpose of a septorhinoplasty is to fix a deviated septum and restore proper breathing function through the nostrils. Because a deviated septum results in a severely arched nose, septorhinoplasty also "straightens" the nasal shape.
