Dr. Elizabeth Lee has brought her patient focused aesthetic surgery practice to Lafayette. In private practice for almost twenty-three years and voted one of the East Bay's favorite plastic surgeons for over a decade, she offers a full range of cosmetic procedures to provide her patients with individualized treatment to best achieve their goals.

A graduate of Northwestern University's Honors Program in Medical Education, Dr. Lee trained her internship year in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital in Manhattan, and completed residencies both in General Surgery and in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

After a year abroad with her husband and children, the family relocated to San Francisco for her fellowship training in Surgery of the Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Buncke Clinic at Davies Medical Center. And so, the Bay Area has been home since 1995. Carmen was very knowledgeable and walked me through the BBL facial process so I felt comfortable.

Breast augmentation is a process that increases the size and improves the shape of the breasts.
Most commonly, this involves placing implants underneath the breasts in a come-and-go surgery.
Breast augmentation can sometimes be combined with a breast lift to obtain the desired appearance.
Below is some basic information about the procedure and the implants.
Rest assured that during your consultation with Dr. Lee, she will help you sort through the possibilities to choose the best procedure and implant to help you achieve your goals.
There are times when breast implants should be removed.
There is no question that the technology of implants and the techniques of augmentation have improved over time, but breast implants are rarely forever.
Perhaps they are causing a problem such as capsular contracture, or have ruptured or deflated.
Or maybe you just no longer want them.
What suited your body and lifestyle when you chose to have breast augmentation done may have changed over time, and the breast implants may no longer be what you want.
Opting for a breast augmentation may have been an exciting decision at one point.
You wanted to enhance your bust in order to look and feel more youthful, mature, or feminine.
However, as time has gone on, you may have changed your mind about the look and feel of your breasts, may have experienced a complication, or may have reached the lifetime recommendation to exchange your implants.
Whatever your reasoning, you just know now is the time for a change when it comes to your breast implants.
Elizabeth Slass Lee, MD of ArtfulSurgery is a board-certified plastic surgeon serving the greater California East Bay area.
Mastopexy, or more commonly referred to as a breast lift, is a cosmetic procedure that surgically raises and reshapes sagging breasts.
It improves contour and elevation, creating a more youthful and perky bust.
A breast lift is often performed by removing excess skin so as to tighten and enhance the breasts' shape.
In my practice, the breast tissue itself is reshaped to a more youthful position to minimize the appearance of scars and provide long lasting results.
Nipple position is improved by lifting the nipple and areola to a higher, more aesthetically proportionate position on the breast.
Achieve the symmetry you have long sought with a nipple correction surgery.
It will enhance the aesthetics of your chest and also eliminate any nipple deformities that may otherwise detract from your beauty.
Arreola tissue is small and nearly insignificant but nipples' unique coordinates on the breast grant them oversized sway over our cosmetic perception.
Many women fret over the orientation of their nipples.
And breast cancer survivors who have undergone (or will undergo) reconstructive surgery wish to have their familiar nipples returned.
