Unwanted hair is not uncommon.
For women, hairs around the mouth, chin and bikini areas may be a source of embarrassment.
For men, the chest, neck and back are common affected areas.
Waxing, shaving, applying gels and creams are temporary solutions, often producing undesirable side effects (razor bumps that result when shaving sensitive areas, for example) and possibly thicker and darker hair then before.
Advancements in laser technology provide solutions to this problem.
Laser hair removal has become increasingly popular since it was granted FDA approval in 1998 and is the second most requested non-surgical cosmetic procedure after Botox injections.
Summer is over.
Now is time to take care of your skin which was exposed to all the damaging sun, the water in addition to the wear and tear during all the trips and outings during the past several weeks.
Skin care is crucial in facial rejuvenation.
Proper skin care should be your daily routine.
Daily cleaning with cleanser, followed by toner and moisturizer are necessary to maintain your skin in the best condition possible.
Any pigmentation changes due to excessive sun exposure during the sunbathing on the beach and during backyard activities throughout the summer may show on your face and neck.
Microdermabrasion removes the debris, oil, dead skin cells at the top layer of your skin so that the young, healthy looking skin can show through.
The procedure opens up the pores in the skin.
It also allows skin protecting agents and moisturizers to penetrate the skin to restore a health glow.
Injectible fillers, including collagen, Restylane, Radieese and Hylaform, can be used to fill in wrinkles and smile lines.
Facial injection is an office procedure with little down time.
Patients may develop bruising immediately after injection.
