Buccal fat removal can provide a slimmer and more sculpted facial appearance by subtly sharpening the contour of your cheek into your jawline. Excess buccal fat is typically a genetic trait that is resistant to weight changes. Good candidates for the procedure are generally those who notice their excess facial fat cannot be remedied through diet or exercise.

Most commonly, this involves the removal of excess skin and fat from a region at the eyelids. Dr. Foulad takes great care when performing an eyelift to avoid removing too much skin or fat. Doing so may lead to complications and a poor result. At the lower eyelid, the fat may also be re-positioned, instead of removed. This can help to improve the contour of the mid-face. The overall goal is to create a subtle and natural look.

Treatment plans can range from a single treatment to a series of treatments spaced out over the course of months. Superficial chemical peels are among the mildest in the category of chemical peels. These peels only penetrate and affect the outer layer of your skin.

The needles create many micro-punctures through the surface of the skin. This triggers the healing process in a controlled fashion and promotes the release of growth factors. As a result, collagen and elastin production increases. Dr. Foulad optimizes the depth, spacing, and frequency of the needle pricks for each patient. Unlike cosmetic microneedling, medical microneedling uses greater needle depths to improve the results.

PRP therapy can be used in an attempt to improve healing (such as when it is applied during a facelift), stimulating collagen growth for facial rejuvenation, and to promote hair growth in men and women with mild to moderate thinning. One of its greatest advantages is because the PRP comes from your own blood, there is no risk of rejection. This is due to the procedure not introducing any foreign substances into the body.
