It is my pleasure to offer a refreshing approach to Plastic Surgery. I practice in an academic setting, yet still, embrace the doctor-patient relationship and spend the time and effort needed to foster that relationship. I am proud to be a part of one of the best surgical and anesthetic services in the country, expertly caring for those with the most minor to the most critical illness and injury.

Dr. Kaufman did my tummy tuck recently and also has done a procedure for one of my kids. He is very professional and a confident surgeon. He also has the best bed side manner. He's very honest and thorough. He called me personally before my procedure date to ask me again if I had any questions about the surgery. I highly recommend him! I I feel wonderful, I dont have the headaches and neck pain that was a constant in my life.

We begin to develop a crease here, a wrinkle there, our eyes can often look puffy and tired, even when we're not. I offer a broad range of treatments that will help revitalize your countenance making you look as young as you feel. I am happy to personally consult with you to help determine the best treatment plan to achieve your desired results. Visit my consultation page or contact us for more information or for an appointment.

These surgeries range from removing excess skin to removing or repositioning excess fat to adjusting the muscles of the eyelid to achieve a more youthful appearance or address asymmetry. These procedures require an exacting approach and my experience in general facial reconstruction, including major eyelid reconstructions, provides me with the foundation to safely and successfully treat most conditions.

The majority of cases require that we address the underlying structure of the face which supports the soft tissues. This involves surgical approaches that require extensive understanding and experience with the anatomy of the face, the muscles and nerves. I am fortunate to have over 15 years of facial cosmetic surgery as well as extensive experience with facial reconstructions and microsurgery around the nerves of the face.

The combination of volume loss and skin laxity changes the appearance of the lips so that they appear thin with surrounding fine wrinkles. Correction of this volume deficit results in a subtle but very impressive improvement. Furthermore, the lips need not look very large to achieve the benefits. It is this subtle correction is what I strive to offer. There are several options for lip enhancement and we can discuss which might be the best one for you.

read more › Prominent ears is a common condition and represents a mild deformity that is along the spectrum of congenital ear deformities, ranging from very mild prominence to complete absence of the ear. One's appearance with prominent ears can lead to considerable social difficulties, particularly in children starting around the age of 6 or 7. There are several reasons that the ear can protrude more than desired. A detailed physical examination can identify the problem and then we can make a surgical plan.

read more › Cosmetic surgery of the nose is a powerful, exacting surgery that can produce subtle improvements or dramatic changes. The appearance of the nose is the result of a delicate balance of skin, cartilage, and bone. With over 15 years of experience with facial cosmetic surgery, including rhinoplasty, I have a thorough understanding of the anatomy and the relationships between the anatomic components. At your first consultation, we will discuss your goals and desires and I will take photographs. I enlarge these pictures to life size and use them to identify key anatomic landmarks which I in turn use to identify "normal" facial angles and distances.

read more › Very few of us are blessed with a perfect figure. Weight loss, aging, genetics all seem to conspire to create sagging skin, uneven contours, and pockets of fat that are impossible to get rid of through diet and exercise. Body Contouring surgery can help you achieve the figure that you've worked to attain: well defined muscles, better tone, and a trimmer overall appearance. You will look and feel better from the inside out, feel more confident, and your clothes will flatter your new figure. I am happy to personally consult with you to help you determine the best treatment plan to achieve your desired results.

read more › Brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, is a plastic surgery procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper arm. The surgical approach is through an incision on the back and/or inner part of the arm. This creates a considerably long and somewhat visible scar. Therefore, this surgery is most appropriate for individuals in whom the trade off of a scar for a markedly improved contour is acceptable. Of course, we all come in different sizes and shapes and not all upper arms are the same nor do they require the same surgical approach.

read more › Abdominoplasty, commonly referred to as a tummy tuck, is a procedure that addresses the loose skin, excess fat, and lax muscles that affect many individuals. Often diet and exercise alone will not restore your abdomen to its optimal appearance. The failure to achieve your desired goal is often the result of pregnancy, aging, prior surgery, ones particular genetic makeup and weight gain/loss. In fact, those people who are fortunate enough to have lost a considerable amount of weight may experience the unintended consequence of EXTRA skin.

read more › Surgery to correct deformities of the buttock is often termed "buttock lift", "butt lift" or "gluteoplasty." In reality, these terms encompass a wide variety of surgical corrections. Some patients have considerable excess skin and need a lift only. This involves removing of a wide strip of skin from the upper buttock/lower back region and elevation of the lax skin from below. Other people tend to have loose skin and little buttock volume giving them a rather flat appearance. In this instance the buttock lift includes removal of the excess skin AND repositioning of the gluteal tissue to provide more fullness where it is needed.

read more › Please note that Dr. Bram Kaufman does not currently provide genital reassignment surgery. Bodily surgeries, including facial feminization surgery, are available. Please see our surgical gender reassignment surgeries below. Gender reassignment procedure aims to alter the physiological appearance of the patient in accordance with the gender they identify with. This procedure may be performed on individuals who are either male, but have been identified as female, or female, who have been identified as male.

read more › Liposuction is a powerful plastic surgical procedure that began as a simple tool to remove excess fat. The surgery has developed over years to include much more such as liposculpture and fat grafting. It is most useful for patients who have localized areas of fat and good quality skin that will retract after removal of the fatty volume. These tend to be younger patients of normal or near normal weight and who have not recently lost a considerable amount of weight. Liposuction can be useful for almost any area of the body.

Of course, the procedure is not for everyone and the decision is a very personal one for the patient and his significant others. In addition, a qualified Plastic Surgeon or Urologist is needed to help with this process. The common indications for placement of a testicular implant are loss of a testicle due to cancer, those with an undescended testicle, loss of a testicle due to trauma or torsion (twisting), and those with congenitally (from birth) small and/or nonfunctional testicles.

read more › Cosmetic surgery of the thigh is an important part of lower body rejuvenation. The surgery, which ranges from fairly minor to quite extensive, can provide improvement in the shape and contour of the thighs. There are procedures for both the inner thighs and outer thigh and hip regions. The most common reason patients undergo surgery is to remove excess skin and smooth out unsightly contours. The procedure is often combined with other procedures including abdominoplasty, belt lipectomy, and buttock lift (gluteoplasty) which can result in a dramatic change.

read more › Are you unhappy with the appearance of your breasts? Do you wish your breasts looked like they did when you were younger, or before having children, or even while you were pregnant? Were you born with small breasts or a breast abnormality that has always concerned you? Or do you simply wish you were blessed with larger breasts that might fit your body more proportionately. These are among the great reasons to pursue breast enhancement surgery. Breast augmentation (often referred to as breast enlargement, boob job, breast enhancement) is relatively simple from a surgical standpoint and one that can restore or create a more youthful and natural appearance.

read more › Breast implants can provide beautiful results for those individuals seeking larger breasts with improved shape or for those who rely on them for breast reconstruction following mastectomy. Unfortunately, they are mechanical devices and do have a known rate of failure. Often they fail because they develop a leak. Other times it is due to the changing soft tissue surrounding the implant, either becoming too hard (capsular contracture) or developing too much droopiness (ptosis) with age and/or weight gain or loss.

read more › A breast lift procedure can correct the appearance of your breasts whether your current breast shape is due to the effects of pregnancies, weight gain & loss, or simply due to aging. Unfortunately, there is simply no non-surgical alternative to a mastopexy. Surgery to lift the breast will elevate the nipple to the appropriate level, reposition the breast tissue itself to create a fuller & natural breast shape, and address any excess skin that might be present. All of these surgical maneuvers combine to "turn back the clock" and recreate your inherent beauty.
