From the very first minute I walked through the doors of your beautiful office, I felt 100% cared for (even a bit loved!) Your staff is wonderful. I've never seen an entire group of such superb people under the same roof. Not only did they put up with my giggles, but the care they have given me melted away any fears I could imagine and kept me focused, excited and fully prepared for my surgery.

Other body parts may be covered with clothing, but operations on the face are immediately evident. The healing process or a less than optimal outcome cannot be easily hidden. Accordingly, the facial cosmetic surgery patient must be very motivated to have the procedure while the surgeon must be confident that he can deliver the expected result. Dr. Wigod has experience in all the commonly performed operations and truly enjoys the challenges and rewards of operating on the face.

It restores a more youthful appearance by reducing the sagging skin which causes major wrinkles, jowls, and a "turkey gobbler" neck. The jawline and neck are improved and the skin is made smoother. This improvement, however, requires a significant investments by both the surgeon and patient. While facelift results do not last forever, your face will continue to look better than if you never had the procedure.

Eyelid aging can cause unwanted changes in expression, causing us to look permanently fatigued and older than we really are. In some cases, redundant upper lid skin can even contribute to visual impairment. An upper or lower eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, can restore a more youthful appearance to your eyes. Dr. Wigod can help you decide which of the several operation types is right for you.

Whether it is due to heredity, pregnancy, aging, or cancer, many women are dissatisfied with their breast size and or shape. A Board Certified Plastic Surgeon is the only medical professional who has been specifically trained in a formal residency / fellowship setting to treat aesthetic breast problems. During a consult with Dr. Wigod, you will have a full medical history taken, be examined with a chaperone in attendance, have your concerns fully discussed, and then be presented with a plan for your treatment.

The life of breast implants varies by person and can't be predicted. That means everyone with breast implants may face additional surgeries-but no one can tell them when. And while a few patients may keep their original implants for 20 to 30 years, that is not the common experience. While there is no "10 year rule, " it is certainly reasonable to suggest breast implant patients who have not been seen by their plastic surgeon in five to ten years come in for an exam.

read more › Normal aging, weight loss, and weight gain all affect body aesthetics. For patients who are dissatisfied with their body, both in or out of clothes, body cosmetic surgery may be an important step towards improving their body image. For most operations, there is a trade-off of scar for improved contour. While scars are permanent, they usually improve with time and hide well under clothes. Given the improvement that body contouring operations deliver, patients almost unanimously find their scars to be a minor issue.

A lateral thigh lift uses incisions which extend from the hips around to the back to remove outer excess tissue and to lift the buttocks. This procedure is indicated only for patients with significant excess skin problems as the operation requires difficult to hide scars. Lateral thigh lift is usually combined with abdominoplasty. A medial thigh lift uses incisions made in the groin crease and inside of the leg to remove inner excess tissue.

read more › Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure in which deformities of the nose are corrected by removing, rearranging or reshaping bone and cartilage. Conditions to be improved may be natural or due to facial trauma. The operation may also help patients who have difficulty breathing and may be performed on most age groups. Dr. Wigod will discuss with you in great detail your desired changes. He will then examine your nose completely, including your internal nose to detect any breathing problems. Before proceeding to surgery, you and Dr. Wigod will develop and agree on a plan best suited to meet your expectations.

read more › It is difficult to give exact cosmetic procedure pricing without examining the patient and assessing desired goals. It is certainly reasonable, however, to know what cost range a procedure might be before scheduling a consult. Dr. Wigod's fees are similar to other Board Certified Plastic Surgeons (both locally and nationally) and are an excellent value for the service provided. When considering travel costs, time off work, a surgeon with no local reputation, and no one near to care for you in case of problems, it really does not make sense to travel out of state in search of a bargain.
